Why Does FCV require this support figure?


Faith Children's Village is supported soley from the financial gifts of churches and believers around the world.  FCV does not accept or seek government funding like many larger international child-welfare organizations for example World Vision, Feed the Children etc.  Often such large international funding allows these organizations to offer sponsorships for and orphaned child as low as $25 per month.  This figure does not however adequately reflect the full cost of caring for and educating the child.

 

Faith Children's Village operates with a staff of 20 Zambian Christians, oversees a medical clinic and currently cares for the daily physical, educational and spiritual needs of 60 children.  The board and management of FCV works hard to maintain a strict budget while adequately caring for the children under our care.  Our financial policy is open and we are happy to share with a potential sponsor our annual budget and an explanation of where the funds are used.
